Manchester United have yet to decide whether to allow Lingard to leave in this transfer window and his current contract ties him to Old Trafford until 2022.

Lingard hasn’t started a single Premier League game this season with his last start coming in United’s recent FA Cup tie against Watford.

The 28-year-old also started in the third-round against Luton and he made a late cameo when he was brought on during ‘The Red Devils’ victory over Brighton in the fourth round.

Lingard has found it difficult to break into the United first team with manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer opting to play Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as his preferred front three.

The introduction of veteran striker Edinson Cavani only made things worse for Lingard who will be hoping to get some regular first-team football somewhere else.
