According to an exclusive report from Stretty News, Manchester United are in a race with Celtic to for their new sporting director as both clubs are eyeing up Juve’s Matteo Tognozzi.

The Juventus chief scout is hot property and is wanted all around Europe as he’s seen as a brilliant busy man with a shrewd eye for good deals as he picked up bot Wojciech Szczesny and Weston McKennie for the Turin club which have turned out to be major signings.

Manchester United will be looking for more input on how to make impactful signings for low money. Tognozzi has been the chief scout at Juventus since 2017 after successful spells in Russia with Zenit and in Germany with Bayer Levekusen and Hamburg.

The report from Stretty News suggests United are already [utting together an offer for the Tognozzi to bring him to Manchester but Celtic are also doing the same, who will be able to win his signature first?

If a suitable offer comes through at Old Trafford he would be likely to snub Celtic for the role in the more high profile Premier League.

Could a change in Sporting Director be the difference maker for Manchester United in their search of Premier League dominance once again?
