Manchester United might be set to spend €100m on Antony – but that would be CONSIDERABLY over his actual market value.
As is reported by The Athletic, Antony, who is a top target for Man United, has been valued at €100m by his current employers, with Man United readying a new bid.
Whether Man United will be willing to go that high remains to be seen, but Erik ten Hag’s men are now operating in a desperate manner in the transfer market.
Were Antony to move to Old Trafford in a €100m deal, statistical calculations show that it would be one of the most inflated deals in football history.

The proposed €100m fee is a whopping €64.4m over Antony’s actual valuation, which works out at a 180% overpayment from Man United’s perspective.
If Antony goes on to be a success, the transfer fee will be rendered irrelevant, but players coming from the Eredivisie have often struggled in the Premier League.
United are clearly willing to lay it all on the line in order to throw their support behind ten Hag this summer, but the pressing question is – at what cost?
