According to The Times Kevin De Bruyne is growing concerned over the lack of urgency with his new contract and is expected to reject City’s first offer as he feels his status as the best player in the league should be reflected in his pay.

De Bruyne still has two-and-a-half years on his current deal but the Belgian international is looking to secure a pay increase to add to his current £280,000-a-week salary.
