Long time teammates and friends Frank Lampard and Petr Cech did not have the best relationship when working together at Chelsea and even had a falling out nearing the end of Frank’s tenure as manager reports The Telegraph.
Petr Cech reportedly held his loyalty with club executive director Marina Granovskaia over the English manager and that led to two often bumping heads as they did what they felt was best for the club. The Telegraph reported how working together put serious ‘strain’ on their relationship.

When Frank arrived at the club Cech was technical and performance advisor but was shockingly included in Chelsea’s Premier League squad during the COVID pandemic in October as new restrictions stopped the club from bringing back loaned out goalkeepers and injuries thinned their squad.
He didn’t get a chance to make an appearance for the main squad although he did appear in the Premier League 2.
Frank’s departure came as a shock at the time but with Chelsea’s past history of sacking managers it makes sense that Lampard is gone but it has people wondering if Cech played a part in Frank’s dismissal.
The two had a bad relationship and Cech is close to Marina who wanted Frank gone. Petr is like a director of football at the club and holds a position of power, do you think he played a part in getting Frank out of Chelsea?
