🚨Everyone is saying the same thing about the ban Kyles Hayes received

The Limerick star hurler Kyle Hayes has been given a one match ban for his strike on one of the Galway players last weekend. A lot of people aren’t happy with this and believe the 25 year old four time All-Ireland winner should have received more for a strike to the helmet.

The three time All-star hurler is a talented player and we look forward to watching him again this year, especially in the Championship where Limerick will be going for four in a row and five in six years. What a team this Limerick team is and the standard of hurling they have set is simply incredible.

“An intentional strike to the head with a hurl should carry a much higher penalty. No deterrent and does nothing to improve safety standards in the game” said another twitter user.

Who do you think will win the Liam McCarthy cup again this season?

  1. Correct me if I’m wrong but this is not the first time Hayes has been involved in such incidents. If the gaa are serious in cutting this behaviour on the field of play ,a one match ban won’t do it especially with Hayes track record. His manager who is a school principal should not be promoting this type of so called sportsmanship. He will probably get an all star at the end of the season for being a great sportsman during the championship. Incidents like this should be rewarded with a larger or extended ban.sone role model for young teenagers playing hurling when they watch this behaviour.
