Joe Joyce ready to challenge Tyson Fury for winner of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk

Joe Joyce has revealed he wants to fight the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk II.

Joyce defeated Christian Hammer on Saturday night to edge closer to a heavyweight world title shot.

The Juggernaut has been growing in stature in the heavyweight division over the past couple of years.

It now does appear to be merely a matter of time before he’s in the ring challenging for a world title.

Could that be against the winner of Joshua vs Usyk II? It seems unlikely, but he’s keen on it materialising.

Joyce is quoted by The Sun saying, “I have a big heart and engine and a good chin and I am ready for all comers. I want the winner of AJ vs Usyk.”

Of course, the boxing world wants to see Tyson Fury come out of retirement to fight the winner of that bout.

You have to think that is the most likely outcome, too, which would leave Joyce out in the cold.

That said, when he eventually does challenge for a title, there is a legitimate possibility he could challenge for ALL of them.

In addition, were Fury to win and then retire, the belts would be scattered and he would be in the prime position.

As long as Joyce keeps on winning and showing his steel, his opportunity will come to him eventually.
