Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has seemingly offered his services to Liverpool as a centre-back during a bit of banter with Liverpool’s official Twitter account.

The account had published a post earlier in the day wishing Carragher a happy birthday as the Sky Sports pundit turns 43 today.

Carragher responded by saying 3 points as a present would be lovely, admin!’

Liverpool didn’t disappoint after they beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League with Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mané netting for the Reds.

Following the result – which is Liverpool first three points in the Premier League in 5 games – Carragher was back onto Liverpool Twitter account to say thank you and what looks like to offer his services as a centre-back.

Liverpool are struggling with injury problems with the centre-back position being particularly hard hit.

Carragher made a total of 737 for Liverpool over a 17 year period scoring five goals.
