The former Liverpool defender has fired a shot back at the Manchester City manager after his Premier League credentials were brought into question.
The treble winners are attempting to achieve a feat that has never been accomplished in the history of the league, winning the title in four consecutive seasons.
But by their standards, they have had a difficult start to the season with many questioning their ability to go on and win it again.
Pep Guardiola hit back at these comments and singled out pundits, Carragher, Micah Richards and Gary Neville who have never accomplished this feat.
In particular, he singled out the former Liverpool man who never got his hands on the trophy.
“Jamie Carragher didn’t win one. Micah Richards didn’t win four Premier Leagues in a row. Never, ever. It’s never happened.”

But Carragher has now fired back at the City boss claiming that he would’ve won if his side ‘were owned by a nation-state’.
I think I’d have probably won one if Liverpool were owned by a nation state, and pushed the rules so far that the PL charged us 115 times!!
I was actually praising Pep’s team after the game on Sunday 🤷♂️😂 https://t.co/EIW3B1AJve
