In Gary Neville’s latest episode of The Overlap he went on a walk with West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice. The conversation went on for an hour, but one of the biggest questions that wasn’t asked was Rice’s decision to play for England over Ireland. Declan Rice played three times for Ireland at senior level and sung the anthem, but in the end choose England.
Gary Neville never asked about this major decision, one that left a lot of Irish fans extremely angry and a lot of Irish fans took to their twitter to let Gary Neville know.

@GNev2 how do you do an interview with Declan rice and not mention not playing for Ireland at all? Arguably the biggest scandal of his career and left out as if it’s nothing. Shameless. #TheOverlap

Did you ask him how he, as a massive snake, managed to make it to Ireland after St Patrick had seemingly banished all the snakes from Ireland?
