Frankfurt accused of giving Lazio FAKE email address in order to prevent sale of star player

Eintracht Frankfurt have been accused of giving Lazio a fake email address so they couldn’t sign player Filip Kostic.

The transfer window is often described as ‘silly season’ in football, with clubs, players, agents, managers and fans all losing their minds in the midst of the madness.

We’ve been given another prime example of that here, via Sky Sport reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on Lazio’s efforts to sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt.

It’s claimed that Kostic wanted to join Lazio, with the Serie A giants keen to get the deal done, but Eintracht threw a quite extraordinary spanner in the works.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio are accusing the German side of giving them a fake email address in order to claim to Kostic that no bid ever arrived for him.

Lazio reportedly made their move to sign Kostic, a deal they felt they could pull off with a few days left in the window, but never heard anything back.

This is quite remarkable trolling from Eintracht, but if this information is true, they’re going to end up with a very unhappy player on their hands until January at least.
