Wesley Fofana looked absolutely delighted to see James Maddison open the scoring for Leicester City against Southampton.
The Guardian reported on Friday that Fofana was expected to be left out of Leicester City’s starting XI as Chelsea continue to show an interest in signing him.
Brendan Rodgers, speaking pre-match, insisted that Leicester were better off not including players who couldn’t keep their focus 100% on the task at hand.
As a result, Fofana has been forced to watch from the stands at the King Power Stadium today as Leicester have tussled with Southampton.
Fofana’s teammate James Maddison gave the Foxes the lead with a quite BRILLIANT free-kick goal, the kind that would have you on your feet whoever you supported.

However, for whatever reason, Fofana was completely unmoved by the moment of magic from his friend and teammate, as was captured by a fan in the stands.

You can understand if Fofana wants to join Chelsea, but this kind of downbeat behaviour is rather professional and doing it in public will earn him no admirers.
After all, Chelsea have thus far been unable to reach an agreement to sign him, which means he may still remain a Leicester player this season.
The Leicester fans are going to need to be won back over if he is, because his recent conduct, this video included, quite frankly stinks…
