Leicester City found the breakthrough against Southampton through a superb free-kick from talisman James Maddison.
Maddison ended last campaign in quite fantastic form, despite those around him struggling to keep the engines firing at the latter stages of the season.
Thankfully for the Foxes, Maddison has started this campaign in similar form and has made the difference for them at the King Power this afternoon.
While Maddison is one hell of an effective player in open play, he also has top-class set-piece-taking ability in his impressive footballing arsenal.
It was on display for all to see as he shaped up to strike towards the target, 25-yards from the Southampton goal.
Maddison bent the ball around the wall and it kissed the post before beating the goalkeeper and nestling in the back of the net.
What a goal this is – it’s vintage James Maddison!
