Eleven former WWE stars officially become free agents today, with their non-compete clauses hitting the expiration date.

2021 was an absolute bloodbath for the WWE, with fighters being released from their contracts left, right and centre.

Vince McMahon and the others pulling the strings at the top of the company were forced into releasing over 100 fighters in order to cut costs in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Included in the lengthy list of releases were:

  • Karrion Kross
  • B-Fab
  • Lince Dorado
  • Gran Metalik
  • Mia Yim
  • Keith Lee
  • Nia Jax
  • Harry Smith
  • Eva Marie
  • Ember Moon
  • Oney Lorcan

As is reported by WhatCulture, all of the aforementioned 11 will be free to join any other wrestling organisation as of today, Wednesday, with their 90-day non-compete clauses having expired.

It’s great news for all of them, who have successfully escaped the clutches of the WWE and will now be able to continue prospering in their respective careers elsewhere.

Legitimately, it could prove to be a blessing in disguise for the lot of them.
