Eddie Jones has agreed to sacrifice his bonus if England win 6 Nations

It has been a very tough time for all sports but rugby seems to have suffered some of the worst loss in revenue as the full contact sport was very slow to start back during this pandemic.

A lot of the money coming into Rugby Union is from International games and with travel restrictions that has become increasingly difficult to fulfil fixtures.

According to exclusive reports from the Daily Mail Eddie Jones and Owen Farrell took a 25% pay cut last year and Jones has now agreed an even further pay cut to help out English Rugby in this tough time.

The Six Nations does not exactly have a typical prize pool but teams and managers have agreed in contracts bonuses that they will receive if they win the competition. A £6m bonus is given to the country that wins the Grand Slam and a large portion of this is given to the manager and players but Eddie has forfeited all of this for the love of the game as he realises that the England rugby team is in a tough place right now.

Will we see other managers take a similar approach?
