All-Ireland winning captain Liam Hassett has been added to Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s Kerry management ticket for 2016.
The Laune Rangers man, who skippered the Kingdom to their famine-ending 1997 September success, will replace Cian O’Neill as the third Kingdom selector.
Padráig Corcoran, part of the backroom team this season, will step up into the role of physical trainer vacated by new Kildare manager O’Neill.
Mikey Sheehy and Diarmuid Murphy will continue as selectors to Fitzmaurice.
Hassett, the holder of three All-Ireland medals, spent a decade in green and gold and also won an All-Ireland club medal in 1996 with Killorglin – the same year he captained the Kerry U21’s to All-Ireland victory.
Dingle-based Corcoran, a teacher in Fossa near Killarney, is a strength and conditioning specialist, and is a former Kerry minor selector.
New Kerry minor manager Peter Keane has yet to confirm his backroom team, but Tommy Griffin is expected to be part of his management ticket.
