Eamon Dunphy blames Roy Keane for Declan Rice choosing England 😬

Eamon Dunphy believes that Declan Rice did a u-turn on his footballing nationality because of Roy Keane’s attitude.

Dunphy and Keane were good friends once upon a time but now it seems like they are also clashing heads. With shade being thrown at one another in equal amounts.

This time Dunphy has taken aim at the Cork man, claiming that his behaviour is why Rice chose to play for England over Ireland.

The West Ham midfielder played for Ireland underage and even appeared in some senior friendlies but in the end, he chose to dedicate his international career to England.

At the time his high potential was clear to see and it was a bitter pill to swallow for Irish fans.

In an interview with Virgin Media Sport, Dunphy blamed the ‘Martin O’Neil and Roy Keane camp’.

“You could see it when he was with the Ireland team,” Dunphy tells Virgin Media Sport.

“He was fighting with players, Jon Walters.

“We could have Declan Rice if it wasn’t for his experience in the Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane camp, where he witnessed things.”

What could have been if either Rice or Jack Grealish stayed with the Irish team.

Do you agree with Dunphy or is he just being callous to have a pop at Keane?
