The Manchester United legends recently appeared together on the latest installment of Stick To Football.
The Irish duo lifted a number of titles together under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.
They also played together for their country and in 1994’s World Cup famously beat Italy through a Ray Houghton strike.
But, fast forward to 2002 and things had dramatically changed with Irwin stepping back from International duty and Keane infamously being sidelined following his Saipan incident.
Keane, who was the captain of the team had made several complaints about the standards of the pre-tournament training facility which led to the heated falling out with Ireland boss Mick McCarthy which ultimately led to Keane being sent home.

Irwin and Keane discussed the incident together.
“I was doing media work for RTÉ well before I left United. You (Keane) made my job harder in 2002 at the World Cup! You didn’t make it easy for me,” Irwin said.
He continued: “Having played with Ireland, you knew what an amateur association they were.
“I don’t know the ins and outs of it because I’ve not spoken to you about that.
“It was an amateur association in the 1990s and it still was ten years later.
“You got out there and it should have been the right training ground and all that.”
“It split the country!”
This seemed to trigger Keane who with a dismissive shrug, Keane replied, “I don’t care.”
This sent the rest of the panel into fits of laughter.
