Declan Rice has spoken candidly about speculation surrounding his future as a West Ham player.
Despite Rice being a West Ham player and seemingly happy in East London, he has continually been linked with a move to one of the Big Six.
Chelsea, Rice’s former employers, have been considered the frontrunners to secure his signature. Some see that move as merely a matter of when.
Rice himself doesn’t appear to be in any great rush to leave West Ham, though. He has once again reiterated that he enjoys playing for the Hammers.
During a sit-down interview, the England midfielder was, rather predictably, quizzed over the speculation which follows him around through his footballing exploits.
Rice gave a measured and mature answer, insisting that he is able to put all the talk to one side and focus on playing football for West Ham.
What he absolutely doesn’t do is rule out leaving the club – but why would he? You’d expect a player of his quality to move on eventually.
