Disaster hit yesterday for Welsh and Lions captain Alun Wyn Jones, only seven minutes into the game against Japan and the tour is over for the 35 year old second row. Adam Beard has been called in to replace the captain and Josh Navidi has been called in to replace Justin Tipuric.
There was a lot of people questioning the need for these warm up games before the tour after two big players for the Lions have gone down injured, but surely that’s rubbish players are going to get injured regardless, that’s the game we’re in. Anyways we wish the Munster and Irish scrum-half Conor Murray good luck in his new role.
