Chelsea Women come AGONISINGLY close to breaking record away win scoreline

Chelsea Women smashed Leicester City Women 8-0 at the King Power Stadium to go top of the Women’s Super League table.

Emma Hayes’ side were 5-0 up at halftime, with midfielder Guro Reiten picking up a goal and four assists in the first half, before Jessie Fleming, Beh England and Fran Kirby added the extra gloss to the scoreline in the second 45.

The Blues dominated, but despite the eight goals could not match the scoreline they reached when they last visited the King Power in March, as Chelsea put nine past the Foxes on their way to winning the title.
