Canelo Alvarez has reacted to Ryan Garcia’s knockout defeat to Gervonta Davis.
The pair were both trained by Eddy Reynoso up until last year, and Canelo has been critical of Garcia’s attitude in the past.
He shared his thoughts on the action with Fight Hub TV.
He said, “It was a good fight. I thought it was gonna be a little more action, but Gervonta’s too good.”
Garcia came in for criticism when he stayed down after a body shot from the hard-hitting, Gervonta Davis.

Asked about the body shot, Canelo replied: “That hurts a lot, but we are fighters, we need to get up.”
Canelo is in action this weekend as he defends his undisputed super-middleweight titles against John Ryder.
