Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will not feature for Cameroon over the international break after a quite remarkable email gaffe.
Alongside Vincent Aboubakar, Choupo-Moting has helped soften the blow of Samuel Eto’o’s retirement for the Cameroonian people.

The former Stoke City man, who went on to discover pastures green at PSG and Bayern Munich, features regularly for his country, but won’t be playing a minute for them over this international break.
That’s not as a result of Toni Conceição’s reluctance to select him, rather a pretty awful error from the Cameroonian Football Federation.
As reported by German outlet Bild, those doing the admin for Cameroon thought they’d sent the call-up email to Choupo-Moting, but actually sent it to themselves.
As a result, Choupo-Moting will not be able to play for his country this international break, all because of a simple email error.
How annoying – but at least he can put his feet up for a couple of weeks.
