The boxer from the North of Ireland was on RTE’s The Late Late Show Friday night talking about losing his beloved daughter in a very raw and emotional interview. Where a lot of viewers were moved by his opening up of such a horrific experience he had to go through.
His Daughter Danika passed away in 2019 with a long battle with cancer
McGuigan said she passed away surrounded by family.
“We were there every day she tried to be strong.
“She lost consciousness on July 17th, she sort of went into a coma, and then we were all around her bed when she took her last breath.
“She knew how much we all loved her.”

Our thoughts are with Barry McGuigan and fair play to him for opening about such a tough story that he and his family had to go through and his daughter Danika will be remembered. R.I.P.
