Mikel Arteta is reportedly being considered to become the next Barcelona manager after it emerged that current Arsenal boss is on Joan Laporta’s shortlist for the Barca job reports the Mirror.
The Catalan giants are in the process of appointing a new president and current frontrunner Joan Laporta has set his sights on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as the the club’s next manager.
Barca will soon hold their latest presidential election and current president Laporta is one of the favourites to be voted into power for a second term.
The club has enjoyed tremendous success with Laporta at the helm including their trophy-laden era under Pep Guardiola.
According to reports on Catalan radio Laporta has Arteta in his sights and the Arsenal boss is the most likely to replace newly appointed manager Ronald Koeman who signed last summer.
