Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard had to be substituted for Norway against Gibraltar yesterday evening after suffering an ankle injury.

Odegaard, who signed for the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, has been a game-changing acquisition from Mikel Arteta’s men.

The Norway skipper’s best performance in an Arsenal shirt thus far came in the 3-3 draw with West Ham, with the youngster setting pulses racing in the second-half of the contest.

However, could he now be set for a spell on the sidelines, which would be every Arsenal fan’s worst fear?

As the London Evening Standard report, Odegaard appeared to roll his ankle during Norway’s win over Gibraltar last night and was unfit to continue in the contest.

Anyone with any Arsenal affiliation will be hoping for the best. Their next game on the calendar comes against Liverpool on April 3rd. We’ll have to wait and see if he’ll be available to feature.
