Arsenal suffered a huge blow to their title chances yesterday.
Following Liverpool’s shock defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield the Gunners then faced Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and also fluffed their lines.
Although Arteta’s men played well in the first 45 minutes of the game they failed to take any of their chances and went into the break level with Villa at half-time.
The Emirates stadium became nervy and in the second-half Villa put a huge dent in Arsenal’s title chances with late goals coming from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins to leave Manchester City ominously at the top of the table with only 6 games to go.

One player that has been heavily criticised online is Oleksandr Zinchenko who put in a shakey performance for the home side, with the left-back losing four of his five duels and losing possession of the ball 13 times.
Arsenal fans took to X to vent their frustrations at the Ukrainian.

Just look at Zinchenko’s positioning. As our left back why is he even in that position??? There is no other club in the world where their left back would be found in such a position.
He moves from his position and never returns within a sufficient time
