An Argentinian football team’s head coach was shot in the shoulder on Sunday as fans of Huracan Las Heras sparked an all-out war in the stadium.
We all too often hear of violent occurrences at South American football grounds. Unfortunately in this instance, the head coach of a football team was injured in the melee.
Mauricio Romero, head coach of Ferro de General Pico, Huracan Las Heras’ opponents on Sunday, was hit in the shoulder by a gunshot and subsequently taken to hospital.
In the bottom corner of the clip below, you can see the moment that Romero is shot and the players sprint to find cover.

Videos emerged after Romero had left the field to receive medical treatment of his gunshot wound. Thankfully, there was no damage done to any major organs.

It’s a sore one for the gaffer to deal with and certainly not what he would have been hoping to take out of the contest, but he’ll be grateful to have escaped with his life.
