Chelsea are reportedly in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over signing Presnel Kimpembe.
Chelsea’s summer business took a while to get going, but Thomas Tuchel’s men, under new ownership, are now very much making up for lost time.
The arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly have shown their rivals that they mean business. That’s two world-class additions to the squad.
There is now some suggestion that a third could be on its way with PSG and France centre-back Kimpembe understood to be next on Chelsea’s hitlist.

While Fabrizio Romano does suggest that the two parties are some way apart in their valuation of Kimpembe, you imagine that a compromise will be found.
Chelsea have lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to the end of their contracts this summer. Koulibaly and Kimpembe are arguably upgrades.
Whether it will be enough to propel them into the title race remains to be seen, but it’s certainly exciting times for the Chelsea fanbase at current.
