Liverpool and Scotland full-back Andy Robertson has addressed rumours that emerged following Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Leicester City, that he and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson were involved in a fight after the game.

According to the Mirror, Robertson has rubbished all claims that he fought with his goalkeeper, Alisson, in the Liverpool dressing room following their game with Leicester.

There was also speculation that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was ready to quit and walk away from the club after a very difficult 2021 so far.

Speaking to Sky Sports the 26-year-old said: “I don’t look like the boxing type, do I! The least [likely] two people to fight in the dressing room are myself and Ali, I think people are sitting at home a bit bored.

“Obviously somebody made up a rumour that the gaffer didn’t come home whereas me and Ali were fighting. I love how I was the one who ended up with the burst lip. I would rather it was the other way about but beggars can’t be choosers!

“The stuff that was getting written was a lot of nonsense. For the players and everyone in the training ground, we just need to block all that out.”

Shortly after the Leicester City defeat Jurgen Klopp was once again denying rumours surrounding him that he was on his way out of the club.

“I don’t feel that I need special support in this moment but it’s nice. I don’t need a break,” said the Liverpool boss.

Klopp has also suffered personal loss recently following the death of his mother Elisabeth who sadly passed in January.

The Liverpool manager was unable to attend her funeral due to travel restrictions which prevents any travel from the UK to Germany.

Liverpool have been on a poor run of form recently which has left them sitting in sixth position a whopping 19 points off league leaders Manchester City.
