Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge has broken his silence on the incident that happened between him and referee Darren Drysdale during a recent League One game.
The incident happened during the clash between Ipswich Town and Northampton Town in League One on Tuesday night where referee Darren Drysdale appeared to square up to Alan Judge.
Judge was claiming a penalty after going down in the Northampton box in the 90th minute but the Irish man’s appeal was met with what looked like an aggressive reaction from Drysdale.

The game finished 0-0 with Ipswich manager Paul Lambert saying: “It should have been a penalty on Judgey at the end but it is a results business,
“The aftermath of that incident needs to be looked at.”
The Football Association has already charged Drysdale with improper conduct while the official issued a public apology to Ipswich and Judge on Wednesday.
Following the incident Alan Judge has broken his silence on the incident saying ‘there was no need for an apology’ and he had no ill feelings towards the referee after the incident.
As I said in this 👇. There was no need for an apology. I wasn’t looking for one or looking for any action to be taken. In football as everybody knows stuff happens in the heat of the moment in a game. We all make mistakes and for me that is the end of this https://t.co/ujQsF9lQ4N
