According to a shock report by The Athletic, Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is set to become the new Crystal Palace manager.
Palace have been on the lookout for a new manager since Roy Hodgson’s departure at the end of the season.
With the Eagles having parted ways with half their squad at the end of their respective contracts, a major rebuild operation is necessary in the summer transfer window.
However, without a new manager, that has proven difficult – but it looks as though Palace are set to get someone through the door.

Patrick Vieira, most recently of OGC Nice, is set to become the new Palace boss, subject to work permit approval, according to The Athletic.
The Arsenal legend has not been heavily linked with the job at Selhurst Park, but if The Athletic’s information is accurate, it looks like official announcement is only a matter of time.
It’s a wildcard appointment from Palace – will it pay off?
