AC Milan Expected To Buy Memphis Depay In January Transfer Window

According to the Express, AC Milan are preparing to make a January bid for Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, with the Dutchman struggling to force his way into the José Mourinho’s plans.

Mourinho is hoping to cash in on the 22 year old after he has failed to fulfil expectation following his 2015 move from PSV thanks to fellow Dutch man Louis van Gaal.

Depay won the golden boot in the Eredivisie, scoring 22 goals, in the season ahead of his £25m switch to Old Trafford but has failed to reach such heights since his move to the Premier League.

Unfortunately for Depay he has only managed to hit the net twice for the Red Devils and he has yet to start a game under José Mourinho with only 12 minutes of Premier League football to his name this season.

AC Milan are said to be keen on bringing the neglected Dutchman to Serie A in January despite the fact that there are still two-and-a-half years remaining on Depay’s contract.

The estimated price tag is unknown as of yet but money is no longer an issue for the Italian giants having been taken over by a Chinese consortium in the summer, so they are likely to be able to meet United’s price demands.
