Legendary GAA commentator, Paudie Palmer sadly passed away after a hit-and-run accident in Innishannon, Co Cork.
The accident which occurred on the 30th of December near his home seriously injured the 65-year-old and he was taken to Cork Universal Hospital.
He sadly passed away from his injuries early Sunday morning.
Tributes to the Cork native have poured in after the news broke.

Deeply saddened at the passing of Paudie Palmer, the voice of Gaelic games in Cork for many years.
His sporting knowledge and insights were deep and broad, and people loved to hear his voice and read his columns.
