Jake Paul has been sensationally backed for a world title shot by Oscar De La Hoya.
Paul defeated Diaz on points at the weekend and he has very lofty ambitions in the sport. He’s even called out Canelo for a fight.
‘I don’t care about that guy.’ Paul said when asked about facing McGregor.
‘He needs to go to rehab. I want Nate in MMA. I want more professional boxers and I want Canelo.’
Boxing purists have not been overly impressed with the YouTuber-come-boxer but Oscar De La Hoya believes he ‘will challenge’ for a world title.

Posting on X the boxing great said,
‘Thank you @jakepaul for introducing young fans to the sport I love the most. You have a lot of shit to work on in the ring but in time I believe you will challenge for a world title.’
