Conor McGregor has promised fans he will return to action.

The Irishman hasn’t fought since July, 2021, when he suffered defeat to Dustin Poirier.

It was thought that the ‘Notorious’ would face Michael Chandler in the Octagon at the end of the year but he lack of enrollment into the USADA testing pool means that’s unlikely to happen now.

More recently he called out the newly crowned BMF champion Justin Gaethje after his stunning win over Dustin Poirier.

But McGregor, has now teased a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, who he lost to in 2017.

Taking to the platform formerly called Twitter and now X he posted:

‘Don’t forget, I played ping pong with Floyd’s head. I carried him! In the rematch I am going to use this style of attack but alongside a more destructive set of shots on top also. B4, it was just ping pong, this time it’s ping pong and babe Ruth with a baseball bat. KO incoming.’

He then went on to make a promise to his fans:

‘I’ll start recording my work again to share with you all while we get this next fight on and set. It’s coming I promise. All my real fans, the fans of the real fighter, it’s coming, I promise! ❤️’

Who McGregor ends up fighting next is anybody’s guess.
