Limerick came to play anyways… wonder are we missing someone like Hoggie or Harnedy for leadership at the moment #limvcor #hurling

Limerick are on 20 points at half time and hit 10 wides. Are Cork playing with 11 men or something! #rtegaa #AllianzLeagues #limvcor #gaa

Well done Limerick – too much for Cork to do in second half – will take the positive that The gap didn’t grow wider but feel Limerick might have reacted if the score got close – Corks puck out strategy needs a lot of work #LIMvCOR

You put out an experimental team in a game like this and maybe you’re being cute but you run the risk of a trimming like this that spreads bad Juju throughout the camp.

Maybe a few of the Cork lads have the ability to learn from tonight’s absolute stuffing.
Some of them, however, have no business at the highest of levels and never will.#LIMvCOR— Iain Burns (@iainburnsy1979) June 5, 2021
Cork have brought back in former Cork hurling manager Donal O’Grady for the year ahead and big things will be expected from this Cork team this year. Last year was very disappointing the way the Rebels crashed out to Tipperary without much of a fight. Limerick have set a massive bar for everyone to get up to and are the team to beat, when you consider Limerick scored 20 points in the first half and ten wides! That’s a serious standard and one that this Cork team will have to match if they hope to have any chance against the Tribesmen in four weeks time.
