The former Clare goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald is reportedly on the verge of becoming the Waterford senior hurling manager for a second time.
Davy Fitzgerald led Waterford to a Munster title in his first spell in Waterford a number of years ago and after him stepping down from his role with the Cork Camogie team, he now looks set to be back in the mens hurling.
There were a number of candidates looked at for replacing Liam Cahill including Eddie Brennan and a return for Derek McGrath, but Davy Fitzgerald looks set to get the gig for the second time.

Good luck to Davy Fitz, he will need it after a very disappointing year in Munster last year for Waterford. The Munster Championship is set to be even more competitive next season.
