Steven Gerrard made his LA Galaxy debut on Saturday, but all eyes were on Ireland’s own Robbie Keane.
LA Galaxy were 1-0 down against Club America when Keane showed a fantastic touch to control a pass from Juninho and beat the ‘keeper and defender. He then coolly slotted home to level the game.
That’s one way to steal Gerrard’s thunder.
The MLS side went on to win the Champions Cup game 2-1, with most of the plaudits going to Keane for the goal.
