As Everton took to the field against Chelsea, the players walked across the white line with some special mascots by their side.

All of the mascots were refugees as Everton, along with the charity Asylum Link, helped to highlight the ongoing refugee crisis.

The club wrote on their website that they “are continuing to build further awareness and also intervening directly to help refugees in the city”.

A classy touch from the Merseyside club.
