Peru have scored their first World Cup goal in 40 years thanks to this magnificent strike from winger Andre Carillo.
Carillo put a 4 decade drought to bed with this magnificent volley in the 18th minute of Peru’s final Group C match against Australia.

Peru then scored their second in the 50th minute thanks to their captain Jose Paolo Guerrero who almost missed the tournament after being banned in October 2017 for testing positive for cocaine.
Gueeror’s ban was subsequently lifted after appeal in May 2018 giving the Peruvian striker license to play in Russia this summer.
