Great news for Liverpool fans today as their star player Virgil van Dijk has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until 2025. The big Dutch defender was badly missed for the whole of last season, not just by Liverpool, but the Netherlands in the Euros also.
He was worth every penny when Liverpool signed him from Southampton back in 2018, any ball that comes over the top the rest of the Liverpool team are a lot more at rest knowing that their 30 year old defender is there to deal with it. Liverpool will be a far stronger this year for having the Dutch defender back to his full fitness.
