It’s exactly 10 years to the day since Wayne Rooney scored that outrageous bicycle-kick against Manchester City at Old Trafford.
Here we are now, a decade later and the stunning goal by the United striker in the Manchester Derby will still make the hairs on the back of your neck stand.
In an interview with Sky Sports Rooney once said that he feels it was the most important goal in his career.

Manchester United were Premier League leaders at the time and the vital 2-1 derby victory over rivals Manchester City played a huge part in United’s battle for the title.
The goal was Rooney’s sixth of the season for the Red Devils thanks to a perfect cross from Nani on the right wing who put the opportunity on a plate for United’s no.10.
Since that goal Rooney went on to score many others and ultimately finished his career as Manchester United and England’s all time top goalscorer.
