Conor McGregor is Notorious for his boundless confidence and, judging by this video, that self-belief was there even when he was just another fighter from Dublin with a dream.
Filmed in 2008, a young McGregor – missing the trademark beard and still showing traces of teenage acne – speaks to camera about his ambitions.
“My dream is to be world champion in the UFC,” he says, already displaying signs of the boldness to come.
“And I will be. Guarantee it.”
The interview is in the latest promotion for the MMA star’s fight against Jose Aldo in July.
