This is a bit of a strange one.
During Sevilla’s game against Granada on Sunday, referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoeche opted to blow the whistle one minute shy of the added injury time.
There were four minutes added on but De Burgos Bengoeche blew up after just three.
Upon realising his mistake, the Spanish ref was quick to recall the team’s players back onto the pitch to play out the remaining 60-seconds.
The game eventually ended 2-1 in favour of Sevilla and now sees them move to within touching distance of Barcelona in third.
Bizarre scenes in Seville as the referee blows for full time a minute early…and then has to call the players back on to the pitch to play that minute! 🤪
You don’t see that too often 👀 pic.twitter.com/XdWfuaUMIU
