Scott McTominay gave his side the lead before handing Sheffield Utd a penalty just one minute.
The Scottish midfielder has been in tremendous goal-scoring form for club and country, netting two against Brentford before scoring during the international break.
He kept that run of games going when he pounced on a loose ball in the box against the Blades, putting his side 1-0 to the good.
But just one minute later, McTominay was penalised for a clear handball in the box, handing a lifeline back to the home team.
Ollie McBurnie dispatched the penalty with ease.
