VIDEO: Russian MMA Heavyweight Hospitalized After Vicious Sucker-Punch By UFC Fighter

Russian MMA heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov had to be hospitalized after vicious sucker-punch attack by UFC fighter Adam Yandiev.

The vicious attack happened in Moscow at the ‘Battle of Champions’ combat sports event at Moscow’s Luzhniki sports complex on Friday night and it reportedly stemming from a dispute over a $25,000 debt.
Footage emerged of the incident which shows the pair leaving the arena together to have a discussion before Yandiev lands two quick-fire punches to Kharitonov face.

The 250lbs fighter kept his composure and began grappling with Yandiev but the clearly dazed Kharitonov couldn’t prevent his attacker landing several more punches from above.

The police then stepped in and escorted a bloodied Kharitonov safely away.

This incident came after an earlier altercation in which Yandiev attacked businessman and amateur MMA fighter Ruslan Abdo, a 41-year-old friend of Kharitonov, breaking his nose in the process . That incident was also captured on camera.

All three of men required hospital treatment, with Yandiev being detained by police.
