Video: Rhys Williams with a massive blunder to hand Rashford a goal

Manchester United have gone into the lead in their FA Cup clash with League rivals Liverpool and it’s all down to a huge blunder from Liverpool centre-back Rhys Williams.

The ball luckily bounces to a Manchester player in midfield with Mason Greenwood immediately putting his head up and seeing Rashford make a run.

Greenwood then plays a quick ball over the top which didn’t seem to have enough power on it and it seemed like it would be an easy clearance for Rhys Williams.

This was not the case with Rhys Williams completely fluffing his lines and missing the ball entirely.

This left Marcus Rashford MBE completely open and one on one with Brazilian keeper Alisson.

From this point we all knew Rashford was going to score and Alisson didn’t stand a chance.

This is yet another example of why Liverpool should be reinforcing their defence this January. Will Klopp buy a CB this window?
