Martin O’Neill has chosen Daryl Murphy to start up front beside Jonathan Walters for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 Qualifier against Scotland today.

It means there is no starting spot for Shane Long and Robbie Keane, who start on the bench alongside Aiden McGeady, who sat out training yesterday with a suspected hamstring injury.

O’Neill has also opted for Shay Given in goal with Robbie Brady continuing in defence.

Ireland: Given, Coleman, Brady, Wilson, O’Shea, McCarthy, Whelan, Hendrick, Hoolahan, Walters, Murphy

Scotland: Marshall, Hutton, Forsyth, Martin, Mulgrew, Maloney, Morrison, Brown (C), S.Fletcher, Naismith, Ritchie
