Mory Diaw Clermont Foot’s goalkeeper had to be stretchered off the pitch after a firework exploded near him.
The Ligue 1 clash with Montpellier had to be abandoned after the incident with Clermont Foot losing 4-2 going into injury time.

Diaw who was preparing to take a goal kick, dropped to the ground suddenly after the firework exploded and was given extensive treatment by medical staff before being stretchered off the pitch.

Florent Batta, the referee on the day, spoke to the media after.
“The doctor who examined the Clermont goalkeeper certified that he was not in a condition to return to the field.
“The match is therefore halted indefinitely.”
